Durham has perhaps a stronger reputation overall, but if you're not an EU citizen Edinburgh might be better if you want to transition to a job in Scotland. Both have similar post-MBA salary stats.

What are you goals?

My goal is to work as a consultant manager in Asia and as far as I know, Durham is a disconnected town with a better reputation while edinburgh vice versa. My question is does the reputation of Durham can be traded off by edinburgh's overall reputation and city ?

Why not study where you want to work?

I think that if you end up in Asia, there will be very little difference in terms of reputation between the two schools. I agree with Duncan - there are a number of outstanding MBA programs in Asia that you might choose instead.
