Imperial MSc vs Aston MSc vs Strathclyde MBM?.

Hello guys and gals!.

I have get admission for the following programs:
Imperial MSc Management
Aston MSc in International Business
Strathclyde MSc in Business and Management.
The confusion is this:
Imperial has good brand name but cost is high and it doesnot' have operations management subject and it user half of the year for only business plan competition and business simulation exercise and project and thesis and only one subject on entrepreneurship.
Aston is cheaper and have four electives to craft your course the way you like and there are Indian professors and the programs are also good.
Strathclyde is cheaper and have a very good costs of living and have all the subjects and also the main advantage is that this program can be converted into an MBA with after three years of work experience.
Now, keeping in mind the cost of fees and the return for the value and the placements and the career after completion of the program, please advice me which college to choose as the first preference and the second preference. Thank you in advance.

No idea what your background or aims are, but if it comes down to reputation of the schools in the UK, I think I'd go with Imperial, Aston, and Strath in that order.

Hi It depends on your priority. But if you are looking for jobs in the UK after your degree then i would strongly recommend Imperial.

Seems like there's a leaning toward Imperial in this thread - but I'd make a case for Strathclyde because of these reasons:

FT stats say that international mobility is higher for Strathclyde than for Imperial: that is, more students are able to find jobs in different countries from where they are from. If you want to go back to India after you graduate, then this statistic might not mean much for you, but otherwise it's something to pay attention to.

It's more affordable: fees are substantially less than Imperial and cost of living is much cheaper in Glasgow than London. If the return on investment was substantially better for the Imperial program, this wouldn't be a big deal, but the fact is that Imperial's average salary increase post-graduation is pretty much comparable to that of Strathclyde - it's not that clear of a trade-off.

It's triple accredited. Not many schools have this honor.

That said, networking and internships may be better in a bigger pond like London. That would depend on your goals and where you want to end up after graduation.

It entirely depends on your career goals.
I have offers from Aston,Edinburgh and Strathclyde for masters and when I was looking out for similar views people asked me apply for universities like manchester,imperial and warwick too.
Imperial is the best with options you have now.

Hi,

I am in a similar fix.
I have an offer from Warwick and Manchester for Msc Information systems mgmt and from Imperial for Msc Management. I am unable to choose.
Pls advice.

I have 2 yrs of work exp as a software developer.
Wud love to work in UK but because of the VISA rule changes , might need to look for a job in India.
So, keeping in mind the job scenario which wud be better?
What kind of jobs can I expect after doing Msc management and will it have enough value in India ?

Imperial certainly is ranked above warwick and manchester.
Msc management gives you a broad oppurtunities and help you move to the administrative side.
