IT and an MBA

Hello All,

My experience is as a manager in IT but am considering doing an MBA. My question is should I consider all standard MBAs or concentrate purely on those MBAs with a Technology Management specialisation?

The main reason I ask is that the tech MBAs tend to be done at the less prestigious schools e.g. OU, Leicester, Greenwich.

If you want a top technical management degree, then you should consider MIT/Sloan. My recommendation would be to have separate Master's degrees for MBA and a technical field (MS, MIS, etc.) from different universities. This would demonstrate cross functional experience better than a technical focused management program (excluding of course the aforementioned MIT/Sloan degree).

Hello Nice to know u wanted to do an IT MBA

Well MBA is an Management Course u should not have any mixture of IT.

With ur kind of work exp u can apply for prestigious universities for MBA
