Its indeed very a very complicated problem. What you started off enthusiastically as a full time work ex during graduation back-fired at the later stage...

What I dont understand is that if you were working full time during your under graduation study, when did you attend your college classes?
What was the mode of your under graduation study -- Full time/part time/distance learning?

Also let me know the name of the University from where you graduated and the management firm where you worked for three years.

my college timings were morning 7:30am to 10:30am (weekdays) and i had to reach office at the most 11:15am and leave from there at 6pm. and as far as my exam preparations goes i used to take half a month leave before they start.
these college timings are considered as full time in india.
i have achieved 57% which is an upper second class from Gujarat University.
i have been working with a private management consultancy which is not so famous...

regarding the msc in management eligibility , i dont have any hope. As the university sites have clearly mentioned about the study requirements of having a non-business graduation.

do u think i shall try to convince them by either way for admission in MBA,.. if so how can i .

Facts:

1. you can not convince anyone that 2 hours of classroom on any normal weekday is a full time program
2. if you chose to hide your work ex then not a single reputed B School will take you for MBA since work ex is a must.
3. 57percentage is low index on any scale. As far as the eligibility criteria goes...its indeed an upper second class degree but most B Schools may not honor your application when they already have surplus of first class application from around the world.
4. Reputation matters. Work ex in a high profile Co. will make you a highly attractive prospective student but dont be disheartened since its the work profile which really counts. If your role was challenging and if you can procure a LOR from your HR representative in that company supporting your claim, you do gain.
5. You might not be eligible in MSc-Management but I think you are eligible for applying to MSc Finance, International Management etc.

My advice is that get yourself a good career counselor who is having good knowledge regarding study abroad options in UK. Spill all the beans to him/her and ask for assistance to proceed in a proper directions. Your problem is too complex...The study hours+low gpa+work ex in a not-so-reputed company does need some serious damage control steps...nevertheless always be honest in your approach...do not be taken into a ride by a unscrupulous councelor..

yeah u r true.

but regarding good grades i have heard that unversities give more importance to students having better work experience. i had started as a senior clerk but gradually i was promoted and when i left the firm i was assistant manager due to my very well performance..
i had taken the job because since my high school i wished to pursue my mba in uk. now that this critical situation has come all my dreams and hard work are into bin.
anyways, do u think i should try for universities like birmingham,southhampton,stirling, durham, dundee, sussex or banghor? .

there are also few universities like cardiff, aberdeen and liverpool johns which offers mba without work experience..
but i have heard that if after completing my mba i go for a job, the company would make fun of me having done an mba without any work experience that i rather have.!!
.. if i complete my mba from there what are my career prospects. and also i have done some research that part time jobs(essential for funding my living cost) in wales, scotland and ireland are hard to find as compared to proper england.

1. Well, good grades are always important. B Schools do give due importance to work ex but that necessarily mean that acads are not important.

2. I understand that you have really worked hard since your high school...If you have really put hard work then you should strongly 'believe' thats not gonna go into the bin. B Schools love diversity, your profile may interest them if you write a good SOP and procure 2/3 good LORs.

3. One of my school friends immediately upon completion of his engineering under grad study went to IIM Bangalore for MBA. He joined Bloomberg as a fresher upon completing MBA and currently working at the New York Office...I dont remember him ever mentioning that anybody made fun of him cz he is having no previous work-ex...Dont listen to all such stupid rumors...be positive!

3. Regarding which Universities to apply, prospects and part time work..I think it would be better if you talk with a counselor.

Its good to know that you have been nurturing dreams of studying MBA in the UK. Do NOT stop dreaming...ever heard of the famous maxim -- "when the going gets tough, the tough gets going" ? Well, this is your testing time... Do not fear or get depressed...be sane and work steadily towards realization of your dream.

thanks for all the advise, now i am thinking of taking a course like MSc in international management or intnl biz or may be MSc in Finance or HRM.
and after doing MSc, work for 2 years there(UK) and then apply in a good University for MBA. As i have already done a year full time work after graduation.
