MBA Programs Based In Oman

Hi There,
Few MBA Programs from UK Universities have started in Oman. Would like to know about the quality of such programs and most importantly about the opportunities in terms of networking and career change. Would like to know if doing an off shore study program is better as compared to a full time course. Also if getting into a second/tier university in countries like UK/Canada/Australia/US would help in getting better offers post MBA. Some universities have a waiver for GMAT for candidates having work experience. Need to know more about such programs.
The universities having their off shore programs in Muscat are:
1.University of Bedfordshire
2.University of Hull
3.University of Strathclyde.
Starthclyde is the highest ranking university amongst the three for its MBA Program.
Students of the above programs: would love to hear from you.
I have a total of 3.5 yrs of Work Experience. I started my career in IBM(India). I am currently working for a leading pipe manufacturing company in Oman in the role of an Assistant Manager-Information Technology And Services. I had given the GMAT but the scores were not that great.
Hoping to hear from the wonderful folks at FINDMBA :)

Strathclyde and Hull both have international accreditation; don't consider Bedfordshire. Strathclyde will probably have a better alumni network across the region, and almost certainly better students and a better educational experience, although Hull has been in Oman for a London time.

However, a career change will be easier in a full-time programme with an internship: that, however, would require leaving Oman.

Thank You for the update. I was just trying my luck regarding current students. I concur with you regarding Strathclyde. Why is that the UK MBA Programs(some of the them from good universities) accept students based on their work experience. Most of the other places like Canada, Australia etc have a lot of importance to GMAT. Do you recommend any such programs where GMAT is not mandatory or where work experience could get you accepted. One of the major reasons for international students to work post MBA is because that experience is highly valued amongst employers in their native countries. Sad that the job market in UK is not what it used to be.

The main MBA accreditation body in the UK requires three years work experience, so that's why UK business schools have MSc degrees for students with less than that. GMAT is also important (read Why you should take the GMAT http://www.find-mba.com/board/38939 ) and the best schools also require the GMAT. There are schools which don't require the GMAT, but their outcomes are worth so much less that I can't recommend them.
