I had read a few cvs of the 2007/8 batch of Cranfield students who did MSc Finance & Management and I did find a few ppl already awarded a MBA degree still did the MSc course to learn the finer things in finance...its not really uncommon, many senior managers do either full time or part time (internet)...

I dare not give u any advice since u r senior to me in terms of education and work ex..but i would like to say that if your financial condition permits there is absolutely no harm in doing further education...and one thing you might be interested...UK recently declared that all finance jobs (accountancy et al) are in shortage of talent/manpower so you might be right about your decision regarding a Finance-MSc (You can find more details regarding this talent shortage in the UKBA website)

If you dont mind can you please share us the name of the B School from where you did ur MBA? What were the companies you previously worked at and at which locations? Whats your nationality? Are you having difficulty seeking jobs at UK or at any other country?

I also was reserching the MSC courses.
One can try the following courses.(http://www.lsbf.org.uk/programmes/masters.html , London School of Business and Finance (LSBF))
MSc Finance ,
MSc in Investment Banking and Securities,
MSc in Investment Management,
MSc in Pension and Fund mgmt,

I also saw Bradford conducts a course in MSc Finance (cost around 12000). Bradford ranks in top 15 in UK.

I do not know if a student gets a suitable job after doing this. I presume they get. Am I correct? Let me know your comments.

I've only look at FT global rankings of B-Schools. In UK lucrative career jobs are impossible under the new quota scheme even if you graduate from top 5 universities in UK, so why smaller unknown schools. Manchester is in top 5. Any smaller brands universities is pointless and you if are planning on returning to your home country, you need a school that has world-wide recognition.

If you are a UK citizen, then you know better than I do.

Can somebody throw some light on Manchester's part-time (global) MBA programs offered through Dubai Centre. I have been offered a place on part-time MBA from Manchester (Dubai Campus) for July 2010 intake. I have 10+ years of experience in banking/financial services with B. Com. Is it treated at par with full-time Manchester MBAs in the industry ?
