I already checked that CFA partner linked, and all three warwick, durham & lancaster are CFA partners

I am waiting for durham but suppose i dont get warwick's offer then Durham or lancaster
someone told me Durham is much more reputed than lancaster and that lancaster's Business school is very small...

One more thing I wud like to ask you and i.e. what do you do?
what qualification you possess.... you really impressed me......

Don't worry too much about the size of the school. This will often mean a more personal attention and closer network. within reason though, a programme with only 10 people can also be a bad sign.

At the end of the day, if you don't get Warwick then you still have the choice between to respected schools. Which ever you eventually decide on, you won't go far wrong.

I agree though that Warwick should be your first choice.

is warwick equivallent to LSE....

not sure if equivalent is a good discription. In terms of quality, Warwick is probably close or just as good as LSE, but LSE has a strong international brand, probably one of the strongest brands from the UK.

Although I like Warwick and believe it's clearly a UK top 10, defintely its not equal to LSE, which is by far the best social sciences uni in europe, and maybe in the world...Warwick is a Uni that has had an impressive growth in reputation (with a little help of the current british government) and has done well in promoting their brand, but dont get confused...LSE is a step higher, and in terms of employer preference I would say it has a league on its own here in the UK, even better than oxbridge...a quick fact, LSE has won 7 nobel prizes just in the last 20 years, how many do you think Warwick won?....

more likely you can get into LSE else go for warwick. Wait next year, if you go to forum and ask a lot of questions like these, you dont seem to be fully ready yet.

You made a good choice...As FT states The MSc Accounting and Finance is a CFA program parter, 95% of the class are international students and recorded 80% employment as per latest statistics. Durham is having a good reputation of its finance courses.

Furthermore Durham Uni is regarded as 3rd oldest Uni (600yrs old) in the England (after Oxford and Cambridge) and finds its place as 8th in the Times Good University Guide 2010 among all UK Unis.

But perhaps the icing on the cake is perhaps Durham Uni's B School recently becoming a triple accredited by gaining the AACSB recognition.

You should put your worries behind...gear up for the freshers party that your Student Union will be organizing for the 2009 admits!!!

Read this, it is debatable whether Durham is actually 3rd oldest in England. And it was found in the 19 century. 18 something.

Recently, the dean of the busines school committed plagiarism and it is a disgrace for durham.

I know durham better than people who only read marketing news about it because i know a lot of peple having been to durham.

All i can say is the school is in decline, a few good lectures have left.

Rising in the ranking is simply the fact that they know the smart way to play with number and earning AACSB is a matter of time for most good business schools.

I have also talked alumni of school and they say its really good in teaching........

And dear actually durham is 600 years old but it got charter in 1832...

It is true that lecturers have left, but maybe it's due to the plagiarism thing, and it is a disgrace. However, durham uni is still well respected in the UK, I'm sure they will be able to turnaround the business school's image.... regarding AACSB, donho199 is right, its just a matter of time...I understand the next schools to achieve triple acreeditation will be Bath and Birmingham...and I would suppose that schools from other big uni's such as Edinburgh and Leeds will follow...
