Msc in HRM V/s MBA in HRM

Hi.. how do you rate an Msc in HRM in a Top tier University as compared to an MBA in HRM in a Second tier University?

I have compared the course modules. They are more or less the same. Even the mode of teaching (50% case study and 50% taught) remains the same. The only difference would be the students who enroll for the two courses. MBA would have students with varied experiences and an Msc would see students coming in for a course conversion (with a sufficient corporate experience). Also most of the second tier Universities are not AMBA accredited. An MBA there would not hold so much value as a Msc in a good University, given that most AMBA accredited universities have atleast 2 more imporatant accreditations to go with it.

It's not advisable to go for a non-accredited MBA course. You might have a tough time proving your mettle to the recruiters, if you consider the fact that getting your CV on the interviewer's table is the toughest part in job searching.

BTW, Tier 2 univs are not as bad as you think they are. They are just not in the top 5, that it. A tier 2 univ can have all the important accreditations and excellent reputation.
I doubt if a MBA without accreditation can be marked as a tier 2 program...a tier 4 or 5 at the most.

I'll vote for a good Msc from a good univ.
