Need to finalise on the school for MBA

Hello All,

I need to decide from the following for full time MBA starting this september and would require your reviews and suggestions.

1) Strathclyde(no scholarship)
2) Aston(25% scholarship)
3) Brunel(30% scholarship)
4) Loughborough (40% scholarship)

Also, Southampton result is awaiting and I am positive to get that too. Applied to Southampton as it is a Russell Group Uni and from this year the extension after graduating would be 6 months unlike many others which give 4 months.

I have nearly 5 years of work experience in IT.
I plan to pursue the MBA to get into a techno-management role or to a managerail role.

Also, I am an Indian citizen and coming with a mindset to learn and study. A tier 2 VISA is always a cherry on the cake so which among these would be best in job perspective?

Any kind of help would be much appreciated !

I would say Brunel is not at the same level as your other options.
(unless you really need to live in London)

Strathclyde is probably your best bet of this bunch, in terms of the possibility for post-MBA employment. I don't think the additional 2 month extension would shift the scales at all for Southampton.

Thanks for the response mba hipster. But if I had to choose another option apart from Strathclyde, then which one should I go for?..Would Aston be a good bet?

Also, results from the following uni are yet to come:

Glasgow Uni
Edinburgh Uni
Newcastle Uni

Strathclyde is hard to beat if your focus is on employment rather than salary. On your list, Birmingham is probably the stronger school, followed by Newcastle.

Yes, agreed with Duncan - Birmingham is probably the stronger school. But it's not nearly as good as Strathclyde if you are an international students looking for a job in the UK after graduation.

You are right Duncan. But the tuition is higher in Strathclyde while in others I still have some scholarship.
in terms of job prospects and global reputation can you please put the following in a decreasing order : 1) Aston, 2) Loughborough, 3) Brunel, 4) Southampton(curriculum is changed from last year) , 5) Nottingham Trent, 6) Birmingham, 7) Newcastle, 8)Glasgow ,
9) Edinburgh Uni . You can just take the numbers.

The difference in cost is nothing compared to the difference in lifetime salaries. Focus on the schools in the FT and rank them by the % employed and by international mobility.
