Oxford Said / Cambridge Judge - MBB Targets?

Hello all,

I would be very grateful for the board's thoughts on MBB placement out of Oxbridge full-time, one-year MBA programs. That is to say, do MBB regard Said/Judge as target schools?

For context: I'm an American who has been based in Ireland and working for a pan-European firm since graduating from an Ivy undergrad.

Long-term goal: consulting with an emphasis on the luxury goods / fashion sector or corp. strategy in luxury goods / fashion.

I appreciate that INSEAD and LBS are, statistically speaking, better bets for MBB placement, but I would like to understand the relative strength of Said and Judge.

I think you can work this out from LinkedIn. Saïd is a better fit than Judge, but LBS is on a whole other level.

I know McKinsey recruits from Oxford pretty regularly, but all three firms are certainly more established at LBS. My sense is that it can be a bit harder for Oxbridge students to get on MBB's radar but not impossible by any means.

Given the Oxbridge universities' wider historic prestige and standing plus the fact that the Said and Judge MBAs are still relatively new, do you think they might one day close the gap on the very best European schools like INSEAD and LBS in this sort of scenario?

There isn't a short answer to that. Lack of demand. Lack of supply.
