I don't understand what sort of embedded systems role you think an MBA will help with. Can you find in LinkedIn someone who has used an MBA from one of these unranked MBAs to get into the sort of role you are aiming at?

Thanks for your reply.

I worked as techie in developing and testing software for ECU's for car(in India,USA and China) and currently working as techno-manager in India.To move to the next level roles such as delivery manager,delivery head,engineering manager,business unit head etc., MBA is required as those roles takes decisions considering various things such as money,profits,etc.,. along with technical expertise (which they gained in early years of their career).

In this embedded systems domain,I believe that MBA from above average college (not required from top 100 colleges) is sufficient along with technical skills gained in this domain to go to the next level in these companies.

I hope you are clear now.Can you suggest me from the universities mentioned in my post.

Only Newcastle and Essex have meaningful accreditation from AMBA, and Newcastle has all three (of the triple crown accreditations).

Delivery Manager (service delivery), engineering manager, delivery head, business unit head in Software industry doesn't really require you to have a Full Time MBA.
Good to have MBA - sure! but not required like firms in Finance and Consulting do.

You won't be doing any discounted cash flows or releasing an IPO, heck not even writing off bad debt or amortizing PPE. There is little to no Capex in S/W from service delivery. All you need to know is Revenue [ What you bill to client] and Cost [Salaries] of your team/BU. Rest will be taken care by your Fin/Acc team in your company.

Maybe save your money and time and go for an executive/evening/part-time MBA? A part-time MBA from IIT Delhi will be much more appreciated in India than Essex MBA.

If you want international mobility / immigration / class room experience full of ideas then Full Time MBA from outside of India will make more sense.

If you want to work in the UK then you should look at better schools like Strathclyde, Durham, Cass, Imperial and Manchester.

No. That reflects the average performance of the uni, mostly in undergraduate teaching and research. You are picking an MBA. An accredited MBA will have a strong core and students with several years experience. An unaccredited MBA will be light on quantitative reasoning, light on soft skills and will mostly have Freshers with no work experience. So, for example, ancient and respected Aberdeen is inferior to a cheeky upstart like City University as an MBA provider.

Rather than looking solely at the industry you want to work in, I'd suggest thinking critically on the kind of role that you'd like to land.

Once you're clear on that, you can figure out the following:

1. Do roles like this exist in the UK for your chosen industry?
2. If not, are there stronger industries where you can move into these kinds of positions?

Based on your answers to those questions, you can look at LinkedIn to see where people in similar positions did their MBAs.

My first inclination is that you should be targeting stronger schools, but I guess it depends on your concrete goals.

Yes.I checked in UK.There are positions in companies such as Bosch,Continental,ZF etc.,.
I want to continue in the automotive domain as I don't want to loose my valuable 13 years of experience.I want to use this as well as MBA degree to go to the higher level in the automotive companies

I shortlisted Newcastle with 8000 pound scholarship.Newcastle MBA is triple accredited.Should I apply any university now better than Newcastle with no GMAT score or is it too late to apply.

You should take the time to take your GMAT so you can apply for better schools.

At the very least, consider schools like Cranfield and Manchester that have the own admissions tests.
