UK MBA Programs for Marketing

I recently took a few online classes in marketing and have decided that I really want to work in this discipline. So I am thinking about doing an MBA, but can't figure out which one in the UK would be best for this career path...

This page says that Warwick has 20% placement rate in marketing:

That sounds really promising but I haven't been able to verify that by looking at the Warwick website.

There's also Cambridge, which has great pedigree but only placed around 9% of the most recent class in marketing roles.

I can't seem to find any kind of functional placement for Oxford, but this school is on my short list as well.

Any advice?

Why not take an MSc in marketing? Cranfield, Lancaster, Birmingham, Norwich, Edinburgh, Manchester all jump to mind. I think the Norwich and Solvay MSc programmes have a very strong brand and creative heart that comes from industry.

I don't know if that Warwick data is up-to-date. The closest I can find is this 2012 Warwick employment report:

That says that more students worked in marketing functions before then MBA than afterward. It doesn't look like they've published a 2013 report, which is a bit strange, at least to me.

The best reference lies in the real life, in my opinion, for which you may use Linkedin to have an idea, along with direct dialogues with the schools and the alumni.

Though the ranking accessible via the link below is not about MBAs but about undergraduate Marketing degrees, I think it may still give some clues for you since the subject is Marketing, in which you say you are considering an MBA.

Thank you everybody for your input. It's interesting that that linkedin ranking puts Aston and Bath ahead of Oxford and Cambridge. A lot to consider.

The LinkedIn ranking simply shows which schools are most likely to place people into those roles. But that is primarily, therefore, about the undergraduate demographic. It's doesn't show which school are most able to place you into a managerial role.
