I can't see any reason to take a MBA like that, which will probably never gain accrediation and doesn't have a meaningful alumni network, then you can pick a better programme. 

Thank you Duncan,<br><br>Obviously this is not what I wanted to hear, because it is " after the event". I've already registered &amp; paid. The UoL and QMUL both seemed to be very good Unis and I cannot afford the very high prices some others charge.&nbsp;<br><br>I just have to do it now, I cannot waste the fee I paid.<br><br>It's just hard to understand why Unis with such reputation are not providing a course that is properly accredited.

Three reasons:<br>- It doesn't need to. UoL is a strong university and it doesn't need extra accredition to attract students<br>- It's very hard for distance learning provider like UoL Worldwide or the OU to get accreditation. Unlike OUBS, UoL Worldwide doesn't provide its own academics and so it's even harder to get accredition.&nbsp;<br>- It adds costs which a price leader cannot afford. UoL Worldwide is, I think, one of the best value options - especially at the undergraduate and graduate diploma levels. Accreditation adds substantial costs which would increase fees but, because few UoL MBAs at aiming at traditional MBA recruiters, it adds little value.&nbsp;

Thank you very much for your help!!<br><br>I am not pleased at all that I didn't do a better research but at least it's good to know that UoL is regarded as a strong University. I was blinded because their Global MBA is accredited by my professional institution, CIMA.<br><br>I work in the non-profit sector and I just want to make my brand stronger so I can go for finance leadership roles in the charity sector. I think UoL MBA will achieve that. None of the non-profit job adverts I looked at are looking for MBA qualification, but I think having that and experience will make me a stronger candidate.<br><br>My other option would be to get out of the sector, but it seems there will always be a better candidate with more commercial experience, regardless of MBA.<br><br><br>

How's your MBA going with UOL? Which specialism in the electives did you go for?

I was looking at this MBA myself. Mainly because I have been considering an accountancy qualification but also very interested in an MBA. So an MBA which offers an accounting specialism like this one, which also gives you exemptions on the CIMA exams seems ideal.
There aren't that many of them around which offer that.

I also really like the curriculum, I think it's more suited to what I'm after than many other online MBA's in a similar price range. It seems more specialised.

I like the fact that at the end of it you also get a CMI leadership certificate. Seems like good value for money.

I'm not sure how strong their alumni is in comparison to other Business Schools. I know they don't have the major accridations, but I understand CMI and CIMA are highly respected professional bodies.

An MBA is a very inefficient way of qualifying as a management accountant.
