For the same reason that people don't rate Pepsi as highly as Coke, or Air France as highly as Emirates. It's good, in some ways equal, but generally not exactly as good.

Can you elaborate on this a bit more, Duncan? What's your reasoning behind this statement?

The reason I ask is because I am strongly considering applying to Warwick. I've scored a 710 on the GMAT. I also have 5 years of experience working for one of the biggest companies in the world (top 5 in market cap). I'm from India.

In terms of international exposure, I work with people across EU on a daily basis and have also worked with people from the US, JP, and CN. But I've not actually traveled to any of these places.

Considering the above, would you recommend that I aim higher?

I think this depends on your goals and needs. Oxbridge has a different model: college life, woven into the social sciences and humanities; more critical and research driven; modest undergraduate numbers; an urban setting. The outcomes are notably better. The students are better.

So depending on your goals, needs and background maybe Oxbridge or LBS is a better fit. But it makes no sense to imagine that Warwick is just as good.
