What are my prospects for London Business School?

Hi,
I am from India but has been working in USA for last 7 years. I am thinking about applying to London Business School for Sep 2010 Full Time MBA Program.
I am a Lead Consultant with an IT major managing 4+ MUSD in revenue. By Sep 2010, I will have a total of 10+ years of experience in IT/Consulting (2 years in India and 8 years in USA). I have a GMAT score of 660 and have a strong project/program management experience and have a fairly good academics.

Can you please let me know about my chances to get selected at LBS. Is my GMAT considered low for LBS? Can that be compensated by my international/multi-cultural experience?

Your GMAT is alright but when did you take it? If recently and have been away from academic then it is just fine.

LBS is really competitive but you would have a great chance of getting admitted.

Really at this stage you have to convince them about why you want MBA, why LBS, what is your career plan etc. which i am sure you just need to polish your ideas a little bit

Sorry what college you went to?

I gave my GMAT this month (3rd Aug 09) i.e. after being out of school for last 9 years. I did my Chemical Engineering from University of Mumbai, India. Its considered as one of the elite schools in Asia for Chemical Engineering. We don't have a GPA system there but I have a first class in my degree (65%). Please let me know your thoughts.

Everything looks good. But this year and next year with the recession in the UK the admissions is competitive as ever.

You have a strong profile, the experience is very good, the first class degree/ top 20% of the batch from a respected indian institute is very good.The GMAT score after a long while away from acamdeic i think the schoold tend to say it is just fine.

Just get all the extra bits right. you gotta ring them up and talk to them and see what they think.

do let us know if you get accepted and share some experience about the application/interview.

Well, moi too a Chemical Engineer from India (IIT-Kgp)...I agree ... Chem E from U of Mumbai really puts you in the top bracket.

You have a very good profile provided your 7 yrs of work ex at USA was from full time employment on rolls in a US Co. and not a deputation (onsite exp) from an Indian Co./Subsidiary.

Nevertheless you have decent GMAT and requisite workex; I am sure you also hold good professional certificates and/or executive education...just write a good SOP and do well at interview and you could go laughing all the way to the LBS!
