I need advice - I applied and was accepted to the part-time MBA programs at Georgetown (in DC) as well as UMCP (in MD). Both schools are ranked about the same - and everyone I work with has been advising me to go to Georgetown, but my friends (different industry) say that UMCP has a better reputation. Any advice?

I will side with your friends on this one. The Georgetown name carries more weight than UMCP in the business world and beyond. This takes nothing away from UMCP which is a fine program. However, I grew up in DC and it took me a second to unpack the acronym.
All things being equal, choosing Georgetown for the brand could be a good idea.

I am in same exact shoes as yours have been accepted to both part-time progs and am choosing Georgetown just because it is more well known globally...
