My new year's resolution is to do an MBA in 2016. My background is in IT and IT sales specifically, but I would like to eventually work in a large internet or tech company like Amazon or Google, or Apple/Microsoft, etc., where I would be able to grow with the company, have more upward mobility, etc.
I read somewhere that Amazon often recruits from Michigan (Ross) but that seems out of the way from the corporate offices of many of the bigger tech companies, which tend to be on the west coast. I was considering Berkeley or Stanford, but these schools seem to be more geared towards people who want to work in management consulting or finance.
There are also schools in the pacific northwest, something like Washington (Foster), which is super close to Microsoft. Not sure how this school is perceived by the big tech companies in general though.
Any thoughts from the crowd?
