best way to get ahead?

Hello, I am from India and I am considering doing an MBA in the US. I would like get into a top school like Columbia or Berkeley, but I have come to see that since I have such a common background, my chances are low. Here are my details:

Undergrad: B.Tech
Work experience: 3.5 years call center (with 1 year of supervisory experience) plus 1 year of sales.
Expected GMAT: 720 (I will study more)
Volunteer experience: Working in a soup kitchen sometimes.

My question is, what can I do to improve my chances to get into a top 10 MBA program? Should I wait another year to get more supervisory experience? Thank you in advance.

Thank you for the guidance. I have decided to take one more year before graduating, and continue in my supervisory role. I want the best chances I can get.

Maybe during that year you can also work on things that would differentiate yourself further from the pack: the soup kitchen would be good to keep up on, as joining clubs, networking organizations, etc. Business schools often like hearing about "life experiences" - things that you can point to that make you seem well-rounded: Peace Corps, starting a business, climbing mountains; something like that would be helpful.
