Breaking into MBA at 30+

I've recently been offered an admit for Michigan Ross after being waitlisted. Got a small scholarship. I don't have any other offers right now, a flat out reject from Columbia.

I've been in an analyst role at a consulting firm for 4 years. My goal has been to break into MBB after the MBA but now I am having second thoughts.

It's a bit investment for me at this time and I'm having second thoughts about being in an older age bracket. I feel like even after deliberating on this I'm no closer to a decision! I wonder if it would just be better to forego the 2 years of an MBA and just submitting my CV!

Please offer me some advice!

Getting into one of the MBB firms isn't unreasonable over 30. It's true that the firms do tend to higher younger, but your consulting experience might be an asset in this case (you'd not be jumping cold turkey into consulting after years elsewhere, which might have proven to be a shock...)

An internship at one of your target firms could help.

McKinsey hires a lot from Ross, BCC does as well. But maybe also opening your options to include PwC and potentially EY might be a good move.
