Is work experience is mandatory??

Hey dudes,
Iam srikanth doing my engineering, by the next fall i will be completing my degree...for the fall 2008, I want to take MBA in USA....Is work experience is mandatory for mba programs in USA or any other good universities offering mba without work experience.
Iam having 2 years of work experience from a local real estate company in my country and also having 3 years of part time from the same....Is this will be applicable as the job experience.....I had a gap of 2 years in my under graduation in which i did the job............Is this experience will be enough or not ???? If not suggest me the universities offering MBA without work experience
Please give me suggestions as Iam very passionate to this MBA in US

Generally, work experience is not mandatory in the US. It will help your application, but you can still get into top programs with little or no work experience, as long as you have excellent GMAT scores. You should do your best at GMAT and then see where you can apply.

You should also take into account that schools value not only the number of years, but also the type of work experience. That's why a careful application is so important.
