MBA for engineer?

I graduated with a degree in engineering and I have been working as a civil engineer.

To be honest I am a bit tired of my job and career. I am thinking about taking on an MBA to open up some new challenges. Mainly, I want to move into a job that's more 'business' than 'engineering,' for example accounting or finance or maybe project management.

Do you think an MBA is the right choice for me at this point? I've started to look for other jobs outside of engineering but I don't think I have the proper background or education. I am hoping that an MBA would open up some more career paths.

I recommend the top 42 schools on this list: http://rankings.ft.com/businessschoolrankings/global-mba-ranking-2016 But it depends a lot on where you want to work.

And it also depends on what you want to do after graduation. You have a fairly similar background compared to other MBA students - but consider your career goals when choosing your school. For example, if you were looking to transition into a tech-oriented career, maybe consider schools with strong tech orientations like MIT or Scheller. It all depends though.
