MBA program for out of country

Hi, I have a friend that is a citizen of Vietnam. My friend asked If I could help find a program that is affordable for her. I been researching and It seems hard to find information for people out of USA.

My friend has gone to a few centers in Vietnam to see what they offer. The best my friend has found is $26,000 for 15 months in Cincinnati, Ohio. However they do not offer a scholarship program. So it is a too high for my friend to afford as my friend has no financial help from family.

My question i guess would be if anybody knows good scholarship programs, or cheaper MBA schools in USA. If its possible to get a job while going to school? The best possible solutions or programs to look into?

Why not stay in Vietnam? There are some strong programmes there:

California State University--San Bernardino (CA)
California State University--Long Beach (CA)
University of North Texas (TX)
Texas Southern University (Jones) (TX)
University of Nevada--Las Vegas (NV)
Texas A&M International University (TX)
University of Massachusetts--Lowell (MA)

Scholarships are targetted at people with great academic quality.

You can work only on campus for the university itself, in pretty low-waged jobs.

my friend majored in english and would like to study in an english speaking country.

also i have seen foreign students from taiwan and other asian countries get nice paying jobs in accounting firms while they were getting their MBA. how is that possible?

In the USA I do not think that is possible. Perhaps they had internships.

I think that in general, it's a good idea to check out the programs your friend is interested in and touch base with their financial aid departments.

As with CSUSB, many programs will offer assistantships to offset some tuition costs. Off the top of my head, I know that Boston Carroll and Indiana/Kelley both offer research-based and more general assistantships to international students. And at Iowa - Tippie, doing a quarter-time assistantship will reduce your tuition fees by about half.

And those assistantships can be supplemented with merit-based or other kinds of scholarships, depending on the school. Financial aid departments should be able to provide you with all the necessary resources.

I would put some consideration into an online MBA program. eascottsdale dot com has students from a number of countries participating in its programs!

I think you'll find it much better to study with a university, ideally an accredited one. These unaccredited, for-profit, websites in the US tend to have really bad completion rates and very weak outcomes for students.

PS this 'school' is less than a year old and doesn't even list its curriculum online. How did you hear about it? Are you connected to the business?

I was looking for an MBA program that fits my current schedule and needs, this one fit the bill. Accreditation was not an issue for me, as they seem to be working toward it, and I was looking more for learning usable concepts to apply to my current work.

This isn't not a course that knowledgeable employers will consider to be a real MBA. They are not aiming for a respected accreditation http://www.find-mba.com/accreditations If you only want concepts, use OpenCourseware from real universities, or the LSE's diploma for graduates.
