MBA with I.T. Focus

Hi Guys,

Some background:
B.E. Computer Engineering 2004
M.S. Computer Science from Oregon 2006
Currently I am doing my MBA, started this Fall 2006. In my university there is not much focus on I.T. part of MBA. First year is generally fixed (course wise) for all students. In second year we can specialize in any field that we want. I love technology specially the Computer field and am planning to focus my career in the I.T. field.

My question:
Is there any short term course offered for 3 and 1/2 months in any good recognized university in US where I can take 2-3 courses related to I.T.? Basically I am looking to do this next summer i.e. Summer 2007.

Yes, ofcourse many schools will offer an IT realated course, but I am sure your concern is whether such a course would count towards your MBA at your current school. That, you need to talk to your school about.
Since you have an MS already, you probarbly exhausted all the allowable transferable credits. Therefor you want to make sure that you go to a "partner university" or something like that.
I am just wondering what course in IT you might be need of for an MBA if you alread have an MS CS? sounds to me like you should now concentrate on Leadership and Organizational skills, or if you thrive in pain, operations research quantitatve methods. You don't really want to study nano electronic computing do you? Then you are in the wrong program, transfere to a Phd. However if I were you I'd stick with the MBA.

Thanks for the reply. Actually when I said for IT related course I meant that some Management course which are specifically related to IT operations and fields. Right now I have in my first year and the courses are general MBA core course. If I find some school which offers IT management course in summer then I can take those course and count those towards my degree. I never intend to do Phd in any field :D
