Part Time MBA offered by US Universities in Singapore

Hi Everyone,

It's been my long term aspiration to pursue a Full Time MBA from a premium university nevertheless given the personal and professional committments i was not able and had been pushing this a bit.

Recently in Singapore i came across a Career Fair and had looked at options of doing a part time MBA program from US & UK unviersities offered through Aventis & PSB Academy in Singapore

The colleges are
1.University of Louisville
2.University of Arcadia
3.California State University, All offering 1 year part time

UK:
1. University of Nottingham, MBA programs.

Honestly i donot have the luxury to go for a GMAT at this point and these colleges are okay to take my experience and background to admit.

i tried to search enough online and was okay with the information. I would like your inputs to the Rankings of the Colleges and is it worth spending the money and time.

I would narrow those options down to internationally-accredited programs - so that would be either Louisville or Nottingham.

However, I would also have a discussion with the Aventis people to talk about post-career options with these degrees. Ask them where people with your profile ended up getting jobs and average salaries. I would make absolutely sure that a degree through them would actually be beneficial and not a waste of money. I would be skeptical that they have the same career services and networking capabilities that NUS or Nanyang have in the area.

Doesn't Aventis offer the CUNY MBA? That's a great programme.

I always receive emails from IEEC and Temple Fox EMBA which last for 15 months in Singapore and the fees is roughly 70 SGD which is pretty affordable for a program that caliber.

Else Buffalo of SUNY EMBA with SIM.

You can do part-time MBA with one of the local universities because honestly EMBA is to rise to the ladder of your own corporate or its competitors rather than change field

The one they offer in Singapore is actually an EMBA - but judging from the entrance criteria, you'd never know it: you need a BA and three years of experience, but according to the website, they're pretty flexible, even on that. I'm curious about what kind of cohort this program draws.

Doesn't Aventis offer the CUNY MBA? That's a great programme.
