I worked 3.5 years in an oil & gas firm but in the past six months I've transitioned into doing independent consulting.
I want to do an MBA and focus on operations management / supply chain focusing on the energy sector.
My target schools are: Haas, Notre Dame, MIT. Aiming for R2
GMAT score: 740
Undergrad: 3.7 GPA / some extracurriculars
My main concern is how the schools will look at my work transition this year. It's a bit complicated but my firm restructured, and now I'm basically doing my old job for them just as an independent contractor. I'm actually making better money this way but there's very little room for growth.
