Lehigh University Announces New STEM-Designated MBA Concentration in Business Analytics

Program can be completed in one year and offers potential OPT visa extension

The Pennsylvania-based Lehigh University has announced the new addition of a STEM-designed MBA concentration in Business Analytics.

The new concentration, which is offered as part of Lehigh's one-year MBA program, is "designed to give students exposure to business data collection, storage and retrieval, predictive models, and the applications for improved decision making in today’s modern, data-rich organizations," according to a press release from the school.

With the STEM designation, international students who completed the MBA in Business Analytics will be able to apply for an additional 24 months for their OPT visas. This means that they'd potentially be eligible for up to 36 months of post-MBA work time in the US after graduation.

Due to this opportunity, a number of US business schools have, in recent years, launched STEM-designated MBA programs.
