Our MBA Part-Time General Management  of Offenburg University | Black Forest Busines School qualifies our graduates to take on specialist and management responsibilities in interdisciplinary teams and on international level in a German taught part-time program in only 24 months.

English taught MBA Program at Offenburg University:

MBA in International Business Consulting:

• Bachelor Degree, i.e. BA or BSc or its equivalent plus certified copy of transcript of marks (applicants who do not hold a degree in Business Administration or its equivalent will have to pass an admission test; all study material for the test will be provided by the university)
• Proof of either professional experience (minimum two years following graduation)
• Applicants whose first language is not English and who have not been educated through the medium of English must present one of the following qualifications in the English language: TOEFL iBT 87 (Institutional Code 7087), or IELTS 6.5.
• Two letters of recommendation
• Statement of purpose (Letter of Motivation)
• Photo & Curriculum Vitae (CV)
• APS certificate (for applicants from China and Vietnam)

German taught MBA Program at Offenburg University:

•  Completed first degree (undergraduate/Bachelor’s level)
•   At least two years of relevant professional experience
•   Proof of English-language skills (minimum B2 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages – CEFR) and German-language skills (for non-native applicants, e.g. DSH2 or TestDaF4)

MBA Part-Time General Management:

• Proof of completed university studies (e.g. degree certificate)
• Proof of English language proficiency (minimum B2 level)
• Proof of vocational training (skilled worker's certificate / vocational diploma)
• Complete curriculum vitae (with detailed career stages proving relevant professional experience)
• Proof of relevant professional activity (service certificate, employer's certificate or similar)
• Letter of recommendation from your current employer/company

International applicants only:

• Proof of German language proficiency (e.g. DSH2, TestDaF4)
• "Feststellungsprüfung" (certificate from a German “Studienkolleg” that proves the ability of a foreign student to take up higher studies in Germany)

Tuition Fees are charged and the amount is EUR 10,400 for the entire program. Tuition fees will be charged as follows:

• EUR 4,150 (Semester 1)
• EUR 4,150 (Semester 2)
• EUR 2,100 (Semester 3)

Other expenses charged is the Service Contribution fee of EUR 284 for each semester.

German taught MBA Program Part-Time General Management:

Tuition Fees are charged and the amount is EUR 12,990 for a standard study time of 4 semesters. Tuition fees will be charged as follows:

• EUR 3.500 (Semester 1)
• EUR 3.500 (Semester 2)
• EUR 3.500 (Semester 3)
• EUR 2.490 (Semester 4)

Other expenses charged is the Service Contribution fee of EUR 134 for each semester.

In general the Offenburg University of Applied Sciences is not able to grant any scholarships in advance. Students have to give proof of sufficient financial resources when applying for a student visa. However there are a few small scholarships given to international students after the first semester based on the financial need and the academic performance in the respective programs. In a TV documentary, Gengenbach was once called a pearl among the Black Forest towns and our visitors speak of a romantic gem, of Nice of Baden. The impressive town hall building and the uncountable romantic half-timbered houses dominate the image of the town. It is a picturesque town with approximately 12,000 inhabitants, quaint shops, typical Baden gastronomy, and markets and festivals which attract tourists from all over the word.

The university campus is located in a well-preserved Benedictine monastery in the middle of town, and it boasts a captivating Baroque interior. The friendly and charming atmosphere allows for an intensive concentration of the program while at the same time being close to many successful German companies, such as Hansgrohe, Herrenknecht and Hubert Burda Media, for further career development.

Offenburg University is located in the pretty Ortenau region, which is considered to be the "gateway to the Black Forest". Nonetheless, the city is only short distances away from major cities, including Karlsruhe, Freiburg, Baden-Baden, Strasbourg/France, and Basel/Switzerland. Additionally, this south-western part of Germany offers a comfortable climate with warm and pleasant summers and winter temperatures rarely dropping below zero.

Although Gengenbach is relatively small, it offers great cultural and recreational possibilities. There are various festivals and festivities throughout the year, including the famous German carnival season and one of Germany's most popular Christmas markets, where Gengenbach City Hall represents a huge Advent calendar.

This is a very peaceful and family-friendly area with an almost non-existing crime rate.

New incoming students are assisted to find accommodation when arriving to Offenburg. The first possibility is through the Studentenwerk Freiburg, which provides 188 bedrooms distributed in two student residences in Offenburg. The rents range between 250 and 350 Euros. In each residence are apartments with 2 to 5 individual dormitories and equipped with a kitchen and a bathroom.

Another possibility is private accommodation. Prices for a one or two room apartments are between 350 and 450 Euros. Locations are proposed in Gengenbach and surroundings allowing students to experience German culture and lifestyle.

Part-Time Students:

Our prospective students often have their place of residence or work in southern Germany, but applicants also regularly come from the closer border areas (Switzerland and France). If you are looking for a place to stay during your stay at the HS.
