FULL-TIME MBA
The Full-time Master in Business Administration (MBA) of Maastricht School of Management is an experience in the essence of organizational leadership and entrepreneurial management in a fast-changing, multi-cultural and global business environment.

Our MBA takes a practice-oriented approach, focusing on putting your newly gained knowledge and skills into your daily professional and personal life. Immediately from the first course you can apply what you have learned during the interactive lectures, practice-based assignments, work visits and guest lectures. You round off your MBA degree with a final project, either an academic research paper, a business plan or a business consultancy project. This will offer you the opportunity to apply your knowledge and skills directly to real business problems or issues which companies are facing today.

The MBA is generalist management programme, but at MSM you can also challenge yourself by choosing from different expertise tracks to fully align your MBA with your career ambitions or to develop yourself in a completely new area.

The MSM Global Flex Online MBA offers you the flexibility of an online MBA with the experience of an on-campus MBA. Our virtual learning environment has been designed to optimally support you during your MBA journey. It provides you with your learning materials, multi-media and self-assessment options, enabling you to personalise your study experience.
Flexible and interactive learning experience
The MSM Global Flex Online MBA has been designed with the needs of working professionals in mind. The structure of the part-time programme allows you to balance the pressures of work with study. With the option to follow the programme completely online, you save time and money for traveling abroad.
Joining our flexible online MBA does not mean that you study in isolation. In the MSM Global Flex Online MBA, you will be part of a highly interactive learning experience. You can enjoy real-time virtual classroom sessions, where you can interact with and learn from like-minded professionals and experienced faculty. In this way, you benefit from the flexibility of an online MBA with the experience of an on-campus MBA.
Two online tracks
To offer you maximum flexibility you can choose from two tracks, the 100% live online track or the flexible mix track.
100% live online track
In the 100% live online track, you can benefit from the full virtual classroom experience throughout the programme. Choosing this track, means all live Zoom-based sessions are compulsory to attend. In case you cannot attend a session due to circumstances, you have to inform your instructor upfront.
Flexible mix track
In the flexible mix track, you combine live online courses with self-paced online courses. This track offers you more flexibility to study courses in your own time. In this track you follow a number of compulsory courses in real-time alternated with self-paced learning of the other courses.
The Business School
Maastricht School of Management (MSM) is part of Maastricht University School of Business and Economics (SBE). SBE belongs to a select group of 1% of educational institutes worldwide with a Triple Crown accreditation by the international accrediting bodies AACSB, EQUIS and AMBA.
MSM offers MBA, Master in Management and Executive PhD degree programmes, and many shorter professional and executive courses.
With a successful track record of 70 years in global management education, MSM has built a large network of students, alumni and partners across the globe.

Entry Requirements
Full-time MBA and Global Flex Online MBA entry requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university as well as the transcript
- Personal résumé / CV demonstrating the minimum requirement of three or more years (five for the Global Flex Online MBA) of relevant working experience, obtained after your bachelor’s degree
- Two employer letters of recommendation (a reference request can be sent directly via our application portal)
- A letter of motivation
- Proof of English proficiency: non-native English speaking candidates and candidates whose previous education has been in a different language than English must submit evidence of English proficiency by achieving the following minimum scores:
TOEFL scores: (Test of English as Foreign Language)
– 88 for the internet based test
– 230 computer based test
– 570 paper based test
– 570 institutional TOEFL (paper based at a certified test administration site)
IELTS score (International English Language Testing System):
– 6.5 minimum, with no section below 5.5 on the Academic test
TOEIC score (Test of English for International Communication):
– 720, provided applicant has passed both “Speaking & Writing” and “Listening & Reading”
Pearson PTE Academic test of English – minimum score 59
Cambridge CPE English Proficiency test – C
Cambridge CAE English Advanced test – B
Applicants from countries where the official language is English, or who have studied in countries where English is the official language, are exempted from this requirement. - Copy of your passport or your EU identity card (valid on the start date of your program)
Only complete applications will be reviewed. Diplomas and transcripts can be submitted in English, Dutch, French or German, preferred language is English. Other documents should be in English. MSM will also conduct an interview via phone, Skype or in person.

Student Life in Maastricht
Maastricht, the oldest city in the Netherlands, embraces innovations in science, technology and art whilst retaining much of its fascinating past. It is a cultural center, with excellent museums, theaters and cinemas. There are also many fine shops, restaurants, bars and dance-cafes to enjoy. The rolling hills nearby offer great opportunities to enjoy walks and bike rides along their many nature trails.
Maastricht is an international crossroads. Walking through the city you will hear Dutch, French, German and English all around you. You can be in Brussels, Aachen, Cologne or Düsseldorf within an hour or two; a few more hours and you could be in Amsterdam, Berlin, Paris or even London.

Summer Program
Make your summer a 'special' experience!
Each year in June, the MSM Summer School offers you the opportunity to follow a number of business or industry-focused related specialisation courses at the MSM campus in Maastricht, The Netherlands. During this two-week specialisation phase MSM brings together all students from the MSM on-campus MBA programs, the online MBA (optional) and participants from MSM’s Global Partner Network to enjoy an interactive and international classroom experience.
