Yeah, totally weird and still unable to answer the basic question: Which organisation *that has the power to grant degree-awarding powers* has accredited LIGS?

Indeed, short term language schools in the UK use ASIC accreditation to prove their ability to administer visas. But ASIC does not, and cannot, award te right to issues degrees. That's why no UK universities are accredited by ASIC.

Indeed, not only can an unaccredited college become part of the CHEA quality group, but also [as stated several times] any individual is welcome to join the group. It's a mailing list.

ASIC dies not have the power to grant the power to award degrees. It has the appropriate accreditation for short term language schools. LIGS is not seeking national or regional accreditation as a degree awarding institution.

I have read your comment related to IICSE university. I just would like to point out the following:
1-IICSE University offer free distance education. IICSE University operating somewhere in Nigeria. My friend has registered but when he insisted them to send him an official documents he received from Nigeria not from USA.
2- AUC is Accrediting agency of IICSE: There are a lot of negative observations about AUC agency:
A- The website is restricted to members of AUC, so they lack transparency, since students or academic researchers can't know whom has founded the agency, and what is the policy and procedures they follow, and what are the standards have been defined to accredit the universities.
B- The main question, is AUC http://aucmembers.org/ accreditation agency recognized by any registered agency with the any state of U.S.A.

In the Czech Republic, MBA, MSc, DBA, etc. can not be accredited by the state or Department of Education, because the Czech Higher Education Act does not include these programs (it considers them to be foreign programs).

It may be attractive to people that want a cheap option, but those people should really consider UoLondon graduate degrees, which are actually cheaper and with great brand name behind them.

The general consensus is: Invest some more in your MBA by choosing a good school, with recognized accreditation, and it will probably worth the investment.

That being said, it is understandable if some people from developing countries have very limited budget. Someone who cannot afford a "good" MBA but really wants one, the cheapest option is probably Open University of Cyprus MBA at 5400e is legit option (public european university)
(although personally I would choose graduate degree from London School of Economics any day, hands down - or some professional certifications)

I appreciate you are trying to help people looking for advise and correct info in order to make a good decision, however, I find it hard in the end to understand your intentions after Dr Pavel Makosky explanations and references.

LIGS University has a Disclaimer regarding accreditation on its website, they are transparent about all the ongoing processes related to accreditation. " a journey of thousand miles start from zero mile".

You should also understand that every serious organization, " even yourself " is constantly trying to improve its quality, I can assure you that LIGS University is doing that and is going to the right Direction, and I'm sure in few years all accreditations will be in place, I believe in their professionalism, ( its matter of time as process take time )
