There's been some valuable discussion about those schools recently, especially about Calgary. Follow the discussion links in the 'Related Business School' section below. I suggest you use LinkedIn to see which school has the largest percentage of its alumni with MBAs in the consulting industry or in the firms you are targeting.

1) Alberta is one of the worst provinces to look for a job right now in Canada. An MBA will not change that.
2) Vancouver's economy is based on small and medium scale businesses and those are the ones most impacted by Covid19. Most of the IT consultants cater to that economy. If you want to be in IT consulting supporting larger companies (e.g. the big banks, etc), then you had better be where the action is (Toronto/Montreal) unless you have a specific skillset for a very high-demand application/system.

I had checked with colleges in Toronto and they didn't consider my experience for class profile. Montreal is french dominated and it wont be possible to learn french at this stage.
If I join MBA this fall, then potential job search will start by 2021 but networking from this year or early 2021 only.
So, if I need to choose among Alberta or Haskayne, which would you recommend ?

Neither. Given the situation, the risk/reward is not worth it for any of the Alberta MBA programmes.

My suggestion is for you to have a conversation with current students of these schools (contact the admissions team for names/emails) and get their opinion if it is worth it. Best of luck to you and hope you succeed in Canada (wherever you end up).

What does this mean? Certainly if the world-class MBA programs in Alberta would consider your experience, so should those schools in Toronto. Which schools did you contact?

U of A or U or C is good in long term, even all the top 10-12 CDN schools are pretty decent.<div>For IT gigs or for any job i guess, you will need to be flexible and may even have to travel for job interviews/networking..There are lots of folks i know in Vancouver/Calgary/Sask. who make a lot more and have a much better role/profile than folks that are in Toronto/GTA. so a lot could change in 2 years!.</div><div><br></div><div>Jobs in Canada are very much based on how you connect with folks, your background etc and less on the school you go to. Yes, I very much agree with the above. But I'd note that while there are quite a few IT / tech-type jobs in Vancouver, it's quite a (comparatively) expensive city - living there is getting to Toronto-level costs.&nbsp;

MBA programs are flexible as classes are structured weekend with 2 yr duration which can grant me 3 yr PGWP. Work life balance can be acheived.</div><div>2.
