These are two strong programs. IPADE is perhaps stronger, but its first year is bilingual. Is your Spanish good enough? Otherwise the Belk-EGADE course is good.

It's ok, but maybe not good enough. I didn't realize that that's what bilingual meant - I figured you can take the classes in either English or Spanish. I guess that means I'll either have to improve my Spanish, or just do the Belk-EGADE course.

How much work experience do you have? There are some EMBA programs that are offered jointly with schools in the US and in Mexico. Check out the ITAM MBA (with Tulane). Also, EGADE is a partner in the OneMBA program - which is also executive MBA level.

I have about 7 years of experience - about 4 as a construction project manager and about 3 managing my own company. Would that be enough to apply for the programs you're talking about? I looked at the ITAM program and it looks pretty good - how would this compare to the ones put on exclusively by the schools in Mexico (especially in terms of networking)?

I think you could get into the two programs that hipster mentioned with your work experience.

However, I would think that these programs (which are spread out among schools on several continents) would be less valuable for somebody who's focused specifically on Mexico and North America.

Depending on your Spanish level, you might spend some time taking classes to get up to the fluency required by the IPADE program. I think this would be the best bet. Otherwise, the EGADE program would work.

Good suggestions. My Spanish isn't perfect, but I think it's worth taking some intensive lessons so that I can communicate more effectively - not only for the classes but for business interactions as well.

Do you think it's reasonable to aim for a September 2014 start at IPADE? I still have to take the GMAT as well, which will take some preparation.
