MBA in Canada

I've been reading a lot about doing an MBA in Canada and there seems to be some conflicting info out there, I am interested in sorting all this out...have a few questions:

- realistically, how easy is it to get a work visa after doing the MBA, and converting it to PR?
- I've read that jobs don't pay as well in Canada as elsewhere like the US. Which industries are worthwhile (ie would I be able to make a living in the country after the MBA?)
- I've also read that schools like Ryerson, Concordia, and others don't place as well for MBA careers as U of T, York, McGIll. How accurate is this?

Any advice or guidance would be incredibly valuable. Doing an MBA in Canada is somewhat of a goal of mine, but I want to make sure it would be worth it over the longterm.

1. Yes, it is one of the easiest developed countries for PR.
2. Yes, salaries are lower there but obviously higher than average wages and thus quite able to live a average life with.
3. Yes it is very much the case that placement is better from better schools.

Plus at least compared to many places in the US, cost of living tends to be lower in Canada. Just look at the difference in rent prices between NYC and Toronto.

I found this information about Concordia MBA salaries:

For 2014 graduates the average salary is $73,590 average. I have a few more questions for the experts here:

- do you think that the more recent classes have similar salaries?
- is there any information about the MBA classes at Ryerson (especially the avg. salary).

Thank you! I'm trying to decide whether this is worth in in the terms or ROI.

I can't comment on recent class salaries. But if they haven't updated this page since 2014 it's either because they forgot, or more worrisome, that more recent classes haven't done as well as previous ones.

Likewise, if Ryerson doesn't have official salary reports or if there are no other objective, verifiable rankings listing this info, it's hard to say.
