I'm not sure how ethical that is. If you were a business school's admissions committee member, wouldn't you want to see the candidate's work?
I certainly don't think it would be ethical for somebody to write an essay for a candidate - but there's something to be said for having a good editor take a look at your admissions essay. This is especially true for non-native English speakers: it's always good to have at least one person look over your work to see if there are any grammar or spelling issues. These things might seem minor, but they are easily avoidable mistakes that look bad to admissions committees.

Absolutely right there.
But I believe it is also important to help the candidate express what he really is capable of and make sure that the best representation of his skills happen on the SOP. No professional will write the SOP for you. He/ She will just guide the candidate and re structure all the raw information provided.

If a student was to employ someone like that on their academic work, then that would break the honour codes of almost all schools which have them. That way of working doesn't show the student's capabilities: it shows the capability of the editor. As an admissions interviewer, I think a false representation can never be a good representation. Receiving a qualitatively determining level of aid from a professional business schools admissions writer is certainly the sort of aid which prevents the university from seeing the applicant's real ability. Insofar as these services are also paid, and that not all applicants can afford them, they also undermine equal opportunities.
