INSEAD is probably the best option, but if you are on a budget, you might want to check out the EMBA program at Zayed University - it's AACSB-accredited, and a pretty solid value.

Ive applied for the UAE University MBA program (AACSB-accredited) which starts in Feb. The good thing about it is that classes are in Abu Dhabi on 2 week nights 5 - 9.30pm each week. INSEAD & Strathclyde timetable require weekend classes and overseas placement which I cant do.
The downside is the 130,000 aed price tag (88k if you live in Al Ain)

I'm also considering Wollongong University in Dubai which is also 2 nights a week from Sun-Thurs. Open day on the 30th of November so Ill find out more info then.

American University in Sharjah was not considered due to the frequent traffic problems. I am commuting from Abu Dhabi.

I will check out the EMBA program at Zayed University next week.

130,000 aed is a great price for an AACSB-accredited MBA. Quality is worth paying for.

Hi, I would like to know if Strathclyde MBA (AED 110,000/-) is still valuable in 2014. The other option is Leicester distance learning MBA (AED 84,000/-).

I have no idea on the distance learning method for MBA though I have done short courses online.

I live in Abu Dhabi and do not seem to have many options. Please advise if anyone has more options in Abu Dhabi.

I can't recommend Leicester is Strathclyde is an option. Strathclyde is a top-tier, FT ranked programme with its own campus in the UAE.

I'd look at UAE University MBA as well.

I checked out UAE Universit which is costing AED 130,000/- plus. Though there are many options to specialize, the certificate I believe will be issued from UAEU. Is that valid gloabally? (in case I need to move overseas)

The UAEU MBA website has nto been updated their website and alot of the information has changed.

It is best to contact them directly or see them at teh Sun & Sky Tower in Abu Dhabi.

Thanks all for the information. I am yet to contact Sheik. But before that, I would like to know why the fees of a triple accredited program (Strathclyde) is cheaper than single accredited (AACSB - UAE University).

Moreover, I also read the posts of Bradford in Dubai. They also hold triple accredition and course content looks solid. The only disadvantage is one has to take a day off for each module (Thursday) as the seminars are 3 days for a module.

I joined Strathclyde Business School in Abu Dhabi. Their local administration is very poor, not very friendly or helpful.

Dubai offers high quality education as the teaching is world class and practical. Also it is more cost effective that studying in the US or the UK. There isn’t a lot of visa restriction and getting a visa is pretty straight forward. As a city it is one of the largest growing cosmopolitan city in the world. Therefore you will be getting a lot of global exposure. As far as safety is concerned the crime rate over there is almost 0. Overall Dubai is a safe place with modern infrastructure and a global education system.

Hi. Thank you for your prompt reply. My only concern is that the visa norms should not be so strict as if I do pursue my MBA in Dubai I would want to get placed in a reputed company there. So I don’t really want any troubles regarding the work permit.

As vinod said the visa procedures are pretty lenient. The placements depend upon the universities you select. Most of the reputed universities go to campuses with a good reputation. So aim for the best colleges in Dubai if you want good placements.

There's no shortage of good business schools in Dubai. Check out the following:

University of Dubai
Cass Business School - Dubai campus
London Business School - Dubai campus
Bradford Business School - Dubai campus
American University of Sharjah (not exactly in Dubai but commutable for some)

You might have a look at Middlesex University Dubai Campus as well. The school does not hold any of the AACSB, AMBA or EQUIS accreditation, however it is listed amongst the QS Top 65 in Europe. I do not know much about the Dubai Campus, but it might be a resaonable choice, depending on your expectations and the value for money evaluation.
