What are your goals? It's curious that you're not looking at any local schools like University Malaya and Putra.

I agreed for Monash, since it is Top 70 best university in the world.

However for University of Strathclyde Malaysia it does have triple crown, yet its still not in the world ranking Top 600 with the price of RM60K+ . As compared to UPM (University Putra Malaysia) at the rank of Top 270 in the world league, with Single crown (AACSB) + ABEST (Asian level Crown) at price of RM33K make it more reasonable.

Lancaster is quite balance with the triple crowns and at the rank of Top 137 in the world ranking.

University of reading is at 192 ranking in the world with triple crowns award, the price is RM72K. as compared to University of Malaya, RM28K with double crown AMBA, AACSB, plus Top 133 University Ranking in the world, make it more reasonable to go for.

The Cheapest MBA in Malaysia with double crown (AACSB + AMBA) , yet Rank at Top 701 University in the world is UUM (University Utara Malaysia)
with the price of RM18200 overall complete course.

Depends on your budget and how kiasu you are. u can personalized your choice wisely with the limitations of distance, the best is Go to Oxford, Harvard, London School of Business, Kings College London, Cambridge London, Imperial London, etc

I think it is more useful to use business school rankings than university rankings. For example i teach at the University of Edinburgh. It is very highly ranked. But for the MBA, Strathclyde is a better choice for most students. The global rankings assess lots of things, and in particular research and undergraduate teaching. But the MBA is neither. Some of the best MBA schools, like Insead and IMD, are not part of wider universities.

Duncan, I have to agree with your points there, MBA is in a different league after all, sometimes the hiring wise, the employers are less expose with the MBA Business Schools rank in particular over Universities rank, due to under exposure of Insead and IMD compared to Oxford, Harvard, Edin, Imperial, Kings, some employers tend to be more influenced by the name or brand that particular university portrays, However, undeniable that some Multinational Employers with the strong specific fundamentals idea on what MBA league or rank is all about.. would be very helpful in hiring process to begin with..

For people who hire MBAs, Insead and IMD are in no way 'under exposed.' Due to their strong recruiting networks and reputations, hirers in many industries that recruit MBAs absolutely know these schools, perhaps even more so than KCL.

Is Nottingham recommended? I don't understand how it compares to other Malaysia MBA programs such as Monash and University Malaya. Please advise.

Nottingham has been in Malaysia for maybe 20 years, so its footprint in the country is definitely expanding, and better compared to other international operators in Malaysia. Its MBA and EMBA programs are well regarded.

But so are those offered by the domestic providers as well.

In short, my goals include making more money. Do I need to worry about triple accreditation?

Think about your goals in terms of (1) the industry you want to end up working in, and/or or (2) the kind of function you would be looking to do, and/or (3) the firm(s) that you are targeting.

In general, having more than one of the "Big Three" accreditations is valuable, but not having more than one is not a dealbreaker (Stanford GSB only has one). "Triple accreditation" is not much of a value add, in my opinion.

But is international accreditation really important for MBAs in Malaysia? Why would international recognition even matter if you're planning on staying / working in the country?

Reasonable to assume that traditional MBA employers are very sensitive to the different quality of MBAs. If the quality of your MBA doedn't matter, do you need an MBA?

Also, these major accreditation organizations ensure a baseline level of quality, in terms of curriculum and faculty. This is nothing to scoff at, given the range of what's available out there in terms of MBA programs, and the varying quality of the offerings.
