The universities in SIngapore are much better. Ask them to connect you with graduates of theirs in Thailand, so you can get an idea of whether they will fit your career goals.


Sasin is a better school than NIDA. I think you will get a good education there, but the quality of students and of the whole experience will be better at one of the universities in Singapore.

This is going to take some research. Like Duncan, I'd assume that Singapore schools like SMU and Nanyang would be better overall - but I did some quick searches on LinkedIn, and it seems that they don't have a ton of traction in Thailand. Rather, the Thai schools are strongly represented, as are global facing schools like INSEAD and Henley. Although because of the relatively small sample size of the LinkedIn group, this is probably not the whole story - I'd encourage you to reach out to the schools you're considering and ask them about their networks in Thailand.

Mainland China schools might be worth considering as well - CEIBS, Tshinghua, etc.

Thank you. If I understand correctly, it seems like Thai schools aren't on the same level as the Singapore schools. I'm also looking at going to Hong Kong - do you think that an MBA from a school such as HKUST would be more valuable in Thailand?

I would think that HKUST would be a more world-class experience than Thailand schools.

Not sure about the Hong Kong schools' weight in Thailand though. I'd imagine that Sasin might be your best bet, if your only metric is the degree's recognition in Thailand.

But I did find an HKUST alumni group here in Thailand. I'm going to reach out to them and see what kinds of jobs and company connections they have.
