In Wellington there's Victoria Management School.

Elsewhere in New Zealand there are some good programs as well - Otago, the University of Auckland, Waikato Management School (those last two are particularly strong schools.)

Generally one would go to a school in New Zealand to get their foot in the door of the economy there, I would think. I've also heard of students going there from India and Pakistan, and then going back to their home countries afterward.

Hi Tessa, I am Director of the OtagoMBA and I know there are many programmes out there offering entrepreneurship and international business. We are introducing specialist electives in entrepreneurship into our programme and these will be available to students who join the programme starting January 2011. In addition we have very strong links with the Centre for Innovation.. http://www.otago.ac.nz/centreforinnovation and the Distiller Network (a group of start-up businesses). For our international business paper next year we are looking at running it over two weeks in Asia.

Hi Tessa, another key point to consider is the class size and mix. If you are looking for a large programme then forget Otago. We restrict the class size to 25 and this year we have students from 10 countries, so the size and mix makes for a very engaging experience...no place to hide. Good luck with your search.
