Profile eval and B-school suggestion

Hi,
I'm an Indian Female and a Senior Business Consultant in Fintech, with 9 years of work-experience.
I have a gradate degree in Engineering and have performed in various roles since graduation.
I have a GMAT of 680(Q49, V34) and have a level of A2.1 in French.
Post-MBA, I want to get into Strategy Consulting roles.
I am interested in a one year MBA, in Europe or UK with good scholarships.
Given the visa rules in UK, would UK be a better choice or France?
I'm currently looking at the below schools-
EDHEC
CASS
Judge

With your knowledge of French you can't do strategy consulting there. The UK and Ireland are better targets. The low verbal score on your GMAT will be an obstacle at Judge. Surely Manchester is a better fit, or the long format MBA at the University of Edinburgh?

Cass is good, quite on a par with Imperial, Cranfield and Warwick but the longer format at Manchester suits you because of your low verbal and lack of UK experience.

Does HEC sound a better bet? I feel I'm aiming low with EDHEC

With your knowledge of French you can't do strategy consulting there. HEC/ESSEC/ESCP would be better if you took a specialised masters taught in French rather than an MBA. That would oblige you to dramatically improve your formal French and then, in a masters taught in French, you could acclimatise to the French business culture. But the odds are hugely against an Indian finding a strategy consulting role in France with anything less than perfect French.

Duncan is correct. French people are actively trying to avoid speaking english, even to tourists, let alone at the work place. To work in France your mastery of the language must be perfect.

As female candidate you have great chances to get into a very good school. You should aim high

Okay, US, Singapore, Germany, Spain,China, Australia, Canada are ruled out- I'm not interested in a 2 year MBA and also not interested in doing an MBA from these countries.
In this case, what schools should be on my list?

Well, i'd say the best options for english speakers are US, UK, Australia, Canada and Singapore. Since you ruled out 4 of the 5, that would leave the UK as only choice (although none of my business, but maybe not rule out so many countries?)

For UK your list will look like what is already discussed in this thread: Cass, Cranfield, Warwick, Manchester, Imperial. With LBS, Insead, Judge being better choices but maybe a bit out of reach (still does not hurt to apply or contact them - usually people apply to a couple of schools that are out of reach in addition to their best fit)

The school choice will also depend on your budget of course. What is your budget?

Canada is again replete with 2 year programs and hence i would not look at it.
Australia maybe great provided you want to stay in Australia. I am looking at international mobility. Also Australia also mostly has 2 year MBAs.
Hence, Europe.
Since I know good French, and also have very rich experience in Fintech I narrowed it down to France and UK.
Do you think Cass will get me good outcomes? I've heard it's a nightmare to find something in UK post MBA. I don't mind working elsewhere, but my goal is to work outside of India.
At this point I am divided between applying to Cass and Judge both and only Judge.
Edhec I'm applying to anyway.
If Cass has similar outcomes as EDHEC, I see no point.
I will try Judge though.

You sound like you are a bit under informed. There are excellent US one year programs for people with great work experience, like Kellogg and Cornell, for example.

Why? If you want to do strategy consulting, won't that allow you to easily pay off the loans that full time MBA students take? A better MBA often has a better NPV.

Exactly. And I cannot give 2 years to college.
I spoke with Cass today and they've given me a very positive feedback, based on my CV.
So now, as an Indian, who's looking for international mobility and not only planning on staying in UK or France, between Cass and EDHEC, which is the better pick?

Exactly. And I cannot give 2 years to college.

By mobility, I meant exactly that. I don't plan to study in those string of countries, but obviously have no issues working in Singapore/US/Canada/Aus.
Study in UK/France and work either there, or in countries apart from India.
This is becoming tiring now.
Can we move to the next stage please?
