I'm not necessarily sure that it would be a wise investment to pursue a full-on degree program for this shift, at this stage in your career. Unless you are thinking about a school like for example, the LBS EMBA program...

I can't imagine what your alum means about the careers service, but LBS clearly has one of the best careers services in Europe, I think Warwick, MBS, Insead are rather similar. However, I would say that careers services are harder to deliver for people with 20 years experience rather than five. That's true anywhere.
Nanyang is one of the world's leading universities. Let me know if you have a specific question.

Concerning Nanyang, the question was related to the above topic, does this MBA will be able to ease a career switch in VC?
By the way, out of topic, what justify the higher salary of Durham MBA student's vs Warwick or even Said Business School? ( based on Fin Mba informations )

Although you're right that a lot of the VC funding in Asia comes from abroad, that doesn't necessarily mean that a local program would not be viable. It depends more on the strength of the school and the quality of its network.

Thanks Duncan. I look forward to the food....would start with pasta...then move onto more adventurous exploit like brazilian cachaca. :-)Congratulations! The pasta in the Sloan School canteen is pretty good, if you like that sort of thing.

By the way, its a little bit out of topic but, I need some advice. I Have 15 years in capital markets ( equity derivatives), want to switch in sovereign advisory, or sovereign debt restructuring. I was considering moving to either a 1Y MBA Nanyang Fellows or 1Y MBAwith warwick but, I recently discover the Mid career MPA( Master of Public Affairs) from Harvard Kennedy School or the MPA from Berkeley. what do you think about these programs? do you think, they can help me to get the foot in the door?
it seems that 30% graduated from the MPA Harvard goes to private sector.
I know it's an MBA dedicated platform but any advice would help.
Thx

Can you post the search string you are using in LinkedIn? I found 1,100 MBAs working on sovereign debt, of whom 13 studied at HKS.

In fact, I am little bit lost. I thought that the MPA was a kind of passeport to get the foot in the door for a job in Sovereign Debt.. but what I see is that almost all the profile I have visted own an MBA then went to HKS to learn Public Policies etc... my question is then : is the MBA still a the best way to get in or should I use the Mid Career MPA as direct shortcut... ?

If you search for HKS people doing sovereign debt you will find them. Does does not tell you if that is the best path for you.
