Accept Job offer or MBA offer?

I am Chinese female from HK / mid-30s / 10+ marketing experience / nil overseas study or work exp.

I have a tough decision to make - accept job offer from China top tech company with regional exposure or 1-year MBA offer from Netherlands.

My goal: get to senior mangement role in tech company

option 1) accept job offer and study online/part-time MBA , but the job is challenging and it is like a bet on China economy and enterprises in coming years going great even the world is decoupling China.

option 2) accept MBA offer and believe I can find a job in tech company 1 year later. But I can achieve my goal of working in tech company without MBA, do I still need a full-time MBA study?

can anyone give me some advice? thank you!

You don't need an MBA to work in a tech firm but you will find an MBA helps you to get a senior management role.

What part of the tech sector are you aiming for and what sort of senior role would you like to do? I don't think an MBA is much help with most tech roles with a notable exception of Product Management. With your background in marketing, that might be a realistic goal and tech companies are hiring plenty of MBAs in that area.

The tech sector I am aiming for is ride-sharing or transportation. I want to get to the c-suite role in marketing function.

I plan to work for 1-2 years in Europe to gain some intl exposure after MBA. Heard that european employers care about the relevant work exp more than MBA tag, I' m afraid that my marketing work experience in Asia cannot get me a job in marketing in Europe.

is the 'let go and be open' an important advice when comes to the post MBA career?

If you want to work in Europe, pick a full-time degree after picking the industry, role and country and then identifying the well-worn paths into that setting.

If you do opt for an MBA at this point, you probably want to study in a country (1) that has the kind of jobs you'll be looking at, and (2) where you already speak the local language.

appreciated both Duncan and Razor feedback! Europe job searching may be harder than I think. I decided to choose the job first and defer MBA for 1 year. See how thing works out later. After 1 year, I may lose the deposit but I have a happy job or I don't have a happy job but I still have an option to choose MBA. The ideal case would be that the employer allows me to take gap year and finish MBA. I will work harder to make the ideal case happen!
