Hello there, I fortunately have received admissions to the University of Birmingham as well as to the GGSB-School (Grenoble) in France. Both offers are very good, the staff of both have been extraordinary friendly. Important to me is the focus on strategy, as I'm looking foreward to move in this direction. Please post your experiences/knowledge with these schools mentioned above as this helps me to make the right choice. But please don't advise me on other schools, as I'm about to choose one of them. Thanks for your help and input. Regards, benjker

In straight ranking terms, Birmingham Business School ranked 46th last year, which isnt at all bad, but Grenoble came in at 32. Pretty impressive.
In terms of experience, you probably couldnt get a more dramatically opposed pairing, than Birmingham and the south east of France. I think, personally I would go for Grenoble on those grounds alone.
In terms of your emphasis on strategy, I noticed that Grenoble offer a new specialism in Marketing, which over its 3 modules, covers Marketing Planning and Strategy, Market Research and New Venture Business Planning. It also looks like Grenoble offer a much more internationalist spread of experience, so I suppose you also really need to take into account what your post-mba career plan is.
I would also look at the comments already posted here.
