Hey man,
I may be able to help a little
you with your question because I am myself a MiM student at ESSEC. I understand
your doubts, but ESSEC could have more advantages for you.
First, the location of the
program matters because it should be in line with your future projects. Since
you want to complete the immigration process in France, it makes sense to do a
degree there. ESSEC also has several partners in North America, and you could
go on exchange or double-degree to Canada or the US – meaning that you can have
exposure to the region you want to work in, plus you get your immigration
status validated in France (which wouldn’t be too bad eh?).
But from my personal experience I
can also tell you that the master at ESSEC is really cool because of the wide
range of options you have in order to “customize” your academic path. You can
choose different specializations (finance or entrepreneurship, for example) and
you can also do several internships to discover what you want to do. Or you can
do the apprenticeship as you mentioned, and I think you can even do it abroad
if the company is French.
Finally, another thing you can
consider in your choice is the comparison between an online program and an
in-person one. Even if now we can do everything on Zoom…learning, working and social
interactions are not really the same when you are doing them online. Attending
a program in person is a more valuable experience because you don’t only get
your degree, but you get to build your network, to make friends, and to take
part in many more other activities in the real world !
Good luck for your MiM results
and hope these tips might be helpful!
