Hi
I am looking into EMBA programmes starting this spring or start of next year.
I am a professional in commercial finance with 8 years work experience (6 post graduation), 2 of which in a management position. I'm originally from Latin America but I've been working in the UK for almost 3.5 years now. I am fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese.
I want the EMBA to give my career a boost and accelerate my progress to senior management or executive positions. However, I'm also open to finding a new path outside of finance or the UK. This doesn't mean I don't like either of them, I could see myself staying in finance and in the UK post EMBA, but I'm also open to finding new areas that I could like (consulting? sales?) and also could be flexible on where I work post EMBA (UK, continental Europe, USA, don't rule out LatAm given the right challenge), but I see myself most likely looking for new challenges, not with current employer.
Having said this, I've been looking at some programmes:
- ESADE EMBA (Monthly format, where class is more international) - been through the admission process invited by them, awaiting on feedback
- ESCP - have a 1-2-1 scheduled pre-admission. Sent my CV and they said it could be a good fit
- Cambridge EMBA - sent my CV, they said I could be a good fit and "encouraged to apply" or schedule a 1-2-1
Other programmes I was looking at were IESE (though they only have bi-weekly format which could mean it's very localised) and Warwick.
I know my goals are not very clearly defined in some way, so wanted to see if anyone had any thoughts or suggestions on which programmes I should look into (or any suggestions in general are appreciated).
Thanks in advance for your comments
cheers
