ESCP Europe, IESE Munich or Kellogs WHU

Dear All,

I hope everyone doing great! So finally, I am landed to a website forum where I´m expecting to get some useful tips on EMBA school in Europe. I am based out of Düsseldorf (Germany) and looking for an Executive MBA program for myself. I´m not a C suit executive and currently working in technology Pre Sale Architect role within Telecommunication industry. I have firm goals to move into strategy development, marketing & leadership roles within my industry.

I would appreciate feedback on EMBA program of ESCP Europe (Berlin - London Track, IESE Münich and WHU Kellogs.

Being in Germany (Düsseldorf) and without sacrificing too much time on traveling outside Germany - I have narrowed down these 3 business schools.

Which is the best in terms of ROI and Career progression amongst all three?

Yes, with my broad experience as a Technology Architect in presale role working very closely with business leaders in customer organisation, I´m quite confident to be quite competitive at all these business schools.

I checked and have found out that EMBA at IESE Munich is a brand new program of IESE starting Sep´19 while ESCP Europe and Kellog-WHU have already established EMBA Program. I have attended one open day session at Kellog-WHU which was quite interesting.

Any recommendations would be highly appreciated!

IESE - very traditional MBA with strong and deep core curriculum. Best choice if your undergraduate degree is not management.
Kellogg. Great network. Rather broad and shall curriculum. More about building soft skills and strategic thinking.
ESCP. Optimised for senior people with great quants and high functional experience, but who might struggle to transition into leadership roles. Highly flexible.

Are you referring to main Kellogg EMBA course from US campus or Kellogg-WHU (based in Germany)?

Yes, you might be right about ESCP. I´m bit confused at the moment on EMBA selection considering avg. age of ESCP EMBA candidate is around 37 years primarily coming from CxO and other executive positions.

I am looking for a right mix of a good Part Time MBA or Executive MBA program in Europe (Germany or other parts) with focus on class room learning rather distance or online learning.

IESE's values and pedagogy will be the same in Munich.
I am speaking about the WHU Kellogg EMBA, which has broadly the same structure as Kellogg's other international EMBA options.

In Germany, WHU has a bigger network but the IESE people are on average probably more senior and serious and, I guess, concentrated in the richer, mostly-Catholic, south of Germany. ESCP has a strong cohort on the international track, but the Berlin track might differ a little.
