[help] IE vs IESE MBA

I'm a 28 y old M planning to do an MBA in IE (Madrid) or IESE (BCN)

My background:
• Engineer/Customer Engineer / IT Sales in Top Big tech. Currently, in Munich, Germany [specialized in Data Science; Cybersecurity, and overall Operations Management]
• Previous co-founder of successful scale-up (7M$ investment). COO
• Some experience in consulting (did not enjoy the lifestyle of early positions)
My future plans:
• Stay in Iberia (PT or ES) - with the flexibility to work there or in other locations
• Main areas of interest: big tech, scale-ups; Have also thought about pharma, banking, and consulting - I tend to do OK in more political/corporate settings.

My doubts between IESE and IE:
• IESE looks better on the ranks and looks great to prepare for a more corporate setting like banking /consulting
• IE is not so good on the ranks, however, has great prestige in Iberia and a great curriculum towards tech (specially scale-ups) - BUT I am already very fluent in Big tech so I'm worried I will not learn a lot
What wisdom can you share?

It's a composite of full-time MBA, executive programmes, MiF and MiM. IE is active in all four segments whilethe newness of IESE's MiM means that is not counted. Even though IESE doesn't run a MiF it is still ranked 4th in Europe, while IE ranked 12th in the last two rankings. These are both very strong schools, but IESE has the edge. In the FT's more recent full-time MBA ranking, IESE is 10th globally (between Yale and MIT), while IE is 40th (Between Nanyang and Vanderbilt).

Absolutely, Duncan! I just read some feedback that IE can be more for Tech and Entrepreneurship and IESE more for consulting/corporate... Besides I read that the ranks for IE are kind of misaligned because of past issues...

I see myself in big tech (which is a bit a mix of corporate & tech) so I was wondering what would be a better choice.

I'm a believer that "ranks do not lie" so IESE looks better definitively.
