MBA admission in Europe

Hi All,

I am 29 years old from India with 8 years experience in IT industry. I want to pursue MBA in Europe and if I get a satisfying job post MBA, I can settle in Europe. Currently I am planning to do MBA in sebatical for Jan 2021 batch.

I am little confused on which course to take one year international MBA or MSc in mangement as MBA fees are quite high compared to MSc. What about job openings and package post MBA or MSc in Europe?

Currently I don't have a GMAT score or TOEFL.

It would be really helpful if someone can guide me on this.

Yes, if you are interested in staying in Europe and working, focus on a country—where you already speak the language—and study where you want to work.

In terms of an MSc vs. an MBA: the difference in course fees makes sense from the perspective of the audience and post-course ROI. The MSc programs are aimed at recent graduates who will see less salary gain after the program than the experienced professionals who see better outcomes with an MBA.

Unless you are targeting specialized career roles in say a tech field, you should probably go with an MBA, given your experience level.

Thanks for the reply.

Will go for MBA rather than MSc in Management.

Which of these two colleges are better for International MBA. Based of rankings and placement I filtered two colleges that are best suited for my profile.

1. Rotterdam school of management, Netherland
2. EMLyon Business school, France

I am learning French and I can manage if it is in France or Netherlands. I like few colleges in Germany, but I am not familiar with German language. If you can suggest any other college in Netherland or France, it would be really helpful.

The official language of the Netherlands is Dutch, not French. Unless you already speak either or both of these languages at a *fluent* or near-fluent level, it's really hard to recommend either. A better school with more mobility (HEC) would better meet your goals, but: why not study in the UK or Ireland?

Thanks for suggesting UK. Now I have mba offer from University of sheffield and Southampton for 2021 intake. Yet to attend Strathclyde interview. Which college would you recommend among these three?

Thanks Stuart. . How about Aston MBA? I can see it is triple accredited and tef gold. How about job opportunities? Is it better than Southampton and Strathclyde.

As before, I still think you should read the QS rankings. You can find the answer yourself there, because they have placement data for schools at that level. For a reasonable chance at job opportunities, you'd need to look at Strathclyde or the schools that need the GMAT.

FYI: the schools you will be able to get into with an above-average GMAT score will for the most part offer you much better career results than this class of school. Aston, Southampton... there aren't many international students who make the leap to the UK after a degree from a school like this.
