I can't think of many German businesses that would hire *leaders* with 14 months' work experience. That perhaps also explains why there are no serious MBAs in "leadership" in Germany. If you're looking for an accredited MBA in Europe, you'll neeed three years' work experience.

With your work experience, you'd be better off looking at Master in Management programs. Germany's got a number of good ones, look into the MiMs offered by WHU, EBS, Mannheim Business School, and HHL to start with.

All good management programs will contain a leadership component. Although I'd hesitate to say that you're guaranteed to be a good leader after a program like this, because leadership development really takes hands-on experience, rather than classroom learning.

Also, if you plan on working in Germany after graduation, you'll want to have German-language skills, but that's another topic.

Actually speaking I'm perplexed about choosing the right kind of MBA program. Though having a computer science background I think I'm not really good at it. There is still more to explore in this field to choose the right track. I know its a bit early to take up MBA. What are the other options out there? Can you list a few in particular Coz I wanted to be good in the skill of management of both people and the technical aspects. I have a future thinking of starting a business in a well organized manner. I could use my management experience and skillset to help expand my business.

This is what I have in mind and is there anyone who could suggest ideas for the right kind of MBA for me.

If you want to work in Germany, you should take a two-year MSc in management at a top German, Swiss or Austrian school and arrive early to take an intensive German course. The breadth and flexibility of a two-year course will give you the space to find a way forward. If you want the option to set up your own business then Laurie's recommendation of HHL is perfect.
