B. Tech Mechanical (top tier IIT) CGPI 5.5/10
Work ex:
*1 yr as Marketing engineer with leading Manufacturer of Power Plant Ash Disposal Systems
*4 yr as Project Manger with Leading Steel making company. I was involved in setting up key process plants for iron steel making. (Key roles Conceptulization for Process plant, Project monitoring & Execution, Design review, Vendor development, E&C Supervision, Proposal evaluation)
*1 yr: worked with Solar PV power generation company as Manager technology looking into improvement of mechanical/civil design of existing structures and hunting for new sustainable technologies globally.
*1.5 yrs: Joined a technology startup - started by one college mate, a friend too- as Head of Strategy; Brainstorming on business concept, Market research, App development (wireframing), team building, Business planning
*Last 1.5 yr: officially unemployed; a tragic thing happened to my wife, bad miscarriage after multiple attempts. Though both of us were devastated, but my wife got severely hit,: she went in a shell and just cut herself from all social circle. I just listened to my instincts and quit startup to try help her get back to normal life. In spare time, I used to teach underprivileged children, every weekend in nearby community school and, occasionally; undertake problem solving classes (physics & Maths) through online platform; and I used to go for Seed-ball (plantation) activities out of my concern towards growing pollution. Though this unfortunate event at personal front took a big toll on me - lost purpose in life & battled depression - I have come out to be a more mature and stronger person: rebuilding myself and finding purpose & happiness through community teaching, reigniting passion and confidence through photography, cooking, developing self-awareness by reading articles on astronomy & science; more importantly led my wife out of her shell and back to her own self. Soon my entreprenurial urge started to pinch me. Because that startup needed an MBA insight more than a engineering professional and I would like this startup to achieve sustainable growth with atleat Series C funding in 2-4 years, I thought MBA would be the most logical thing to do. Hence, I eventually started preparing for gmat
GMAT 1: 610(Q44, V30)
GMAT 2: 660 ( V48, V32)
GMAT 3: Targeting 700+
Extracurricular :
Actively participated in Dramatics events, played lead roles too.
Participated in robotics tournament back in college
Love Sketching and singing
Passionate about cooking, photography: capture wildlife and nature in and around places I visit
Preferrence : 1 yr Full time mba (entrepreneurship, operations & strategy) I would like to know of my chances in these schools RSM, Warwick, Manchester, St. Gallen, Scheller, WHU.
Also, if I should add any other School and what prospects do I have for scholarship.
