Hi! Im looking for a decent-good MBA program with medium budget from UK/Germany.
NO GMAT.
B.Tech from India : 7.6/10 GPA
22 months of experience till date.(will have 2 years before the DOJ)
IELTS :7.5
Have applied to Hochschule Offenburg(For the course!) Hochschule Bremen in germany! Furtwangen asks for 2 years exp at the time of application!so :(
Was interested in Southampton & Newcastle, unfortunately they ask for 3-4 years exp!
Other options in hand for UK are
Stirling,
Aberdeen,
Sheffield Hallam,
Heriot-Watt,
University of West London,
Edinburg-Napier,
Nottingam Trent,
Swansea(no idea about this though)

Im looking for a preferably accredited program that has scope even outside the taught country!

If your goal is to return to India, then Cardiff is the obviously choice. It's the only AACSB accredited programme in the UK without AMBA accreditation (which would require it to need three years' work experience). Most of the programes you have mentioned are rather weak (Stirling and Aberdeen are perhaps the best).

If you want to work in the UK, then this would not be a great option. Instead you should take the GMAT and apply next year to schools with both AACSB and AMBA accreditation.

Thanks JK Duncan! I am not sure myself where I will settle down, however I don't have plans of returning home immediately after studies!I would want to work there atleast for a couple of years..So should I still go ahead with Stirling & Aberdeen?

Another on the list is Anglia Ruskin University...how good is that? Haven't heard much about it either..And I doubt Aberdeen is open to Freshers also, if that will nullify my 2 years of exp...

Aberdeen doesn't require work experience. It's a very old-fashioned, lecture-based, 'freshers' MBA aimed at international students who want to return to their home country. Ruskin is no better.

If you want to work in the UK, take an extra year to do your GMAT and get into a AACSB and AMBA accredited school.

I was also interested to apply for Masters in Business & Consulting with specialization in HRM...from HWR Berlin...I am not sure If I ll meet the entry requirements though! They ask for atleast 15 credits of HR/Business related subjects when I have only close to 10 credits..Should I still go ahead and apply(Via Uni assist)?Will my work experience compromise the missing credits is my biggest concern!

I have also read another post http://www.find-mba.com/board/20566 where you have clarified that Cardiff is only a member of those accreditation and not accredited itself..and that it is a below average-typical-Indian environment!

However this was the case last year..is it still the same?

You should check the schools directly on the AACSB, EQUIS and AMBA websites. Cardiff recently won AACSB: http://business.cardiff.ac.uk/news/cardiff-business-school-awarded-aacsb-accreditation

I suggest:
- Take an extra year to do your GMAT and get into a AACSB and AMBA accredited school.

Cardiff has the better program.

But keep in mind that it's become increasingly difficult to get a visa post-MBA in the UK. They don't give you one when you graduate unless you have a job already. And with an unranked program that does not have a very selective application process (read: no GMAT required) - it's going to be more difficult to get hired.

Thank you Ralph & Duncan..I have another question here..would you say Dublin business School Ireland (DBS) is better than Stirling and Cardiff with the current situation of visas for International students in UK?

I decided to go ahead with Stirling, as it was the only one who had 2 years work experience in their entry criteria. I also got a scholarship of 50% from the university! Hope my decision doesn't turnout wrong!
