1 year MBA in UK or USA

Hi,
I am an IT professional for last 8 years and have got admit into Cranfield MBA UK and Pittsburgh Katz 1 year MBA program in US. I am looking forward to stay in the same industry improving my competency to rise up the corporate ladder through my MBA program.
My wife works in US and so I was naturally inclined to go for a 1 year MBA course in US itself. I was pretty optimistic about Emory's 1 year MBA program but a ding from there has left me with only one quality choice: Cranfield.
However, I am still confused whether to go for an MBA in sluggish English Economy or try my luck in US where employment prospects might be better for IT professionals. I am not quite sure about the employment prospects post Katz 1 year MBA program though the city of Pittsburgh looks to me a good industrial hub.
My scholarship from Cranfield has not been declared yet but I have around 40 % waiver in tuition fee from Katz as of now.
I am also thinking about the possibility of migrating to US post MBA provided I land up with a decent employment opportunity there. (Not sure if Cranfield can help me in this).
Could you please share your ideas on this and help me select the right school.

If you want to work in the US, study there. Internationally there is no difference between them 2. If you want to stay in IT then 1 year MBA is OK. Maybe you dont really need an MBA to go up in IT Carnegie Mellon Heinz and Cornell has a few decent 1 year professional IT degrees.

Other things being equal, I think the Cranfield programme is better: better designed, more highly ranked and more flexible. However, Katz obtains a higher salary and its support for international students visas [see the hyperlink above] is impressive. If your partner is in the US, then that's a compelling reason to look at Katz and similar programmes.

Frankly, The 1 hour long interview session I had with Cranfield was an eye opener to me. The interviewer was extremely interested in knowing about me and my views. Discussions covered topics including world economy, environment pollution, internationalism, social work and it appeared to me that Cranfield is the kind of program I was looking for. I am quite impressed with the way interviewer got involved with my profile with such curiosity and somehow I do not want to let this offer go.
Therefore, I would request you to suggest whether my opinion about migrating to US post MBA and looking for a job in IT consulting makes sense.

The H4 visa does not allow you to work. if you want to work in the US, study in the US so you can connect with employers and US alumni networks. Cranfield means less in the US than Pittsburgh means in the UK.

It would be wise to look around Pitts a bit more there are many options.

IT strategy consulting is little bit tricky but I think some IT certification in security, assurance, audit will do. Those guys who work in Big4 firms who never touch a router or write a program normally show off these certifications to our dismay. Being in the US, the IT hub is a great advantage. When I was based in the UK, I always have to go to London to do courses. It is a short ride but the variety and frequency of courses and exams may not be as much.

Cranfield is a very strong technical school but probably more heavy- technical stuff like electrical/manufacturing.

After the MBA in the US, there is a 1 year visa that allows you to work and try your luck a bit

Could you please share your thoughts on Notre Dame's 1 year MBA. How reputed it is in US and prospects for IT guys post MBA.
I was also looking for Boston 1 year International MBA and would you request you to share your views on it if any.
Warrington College of Business Administration seems to be rated well by Poets and Quants but I was just wondering why it never appeared in FT and other major rankings.
Could you please suggest reputation for these B-schools (1 year MBA) in US and scope there for IT professionals.Any idea would be helpful.
